Flowers and beautiful couples that are wanting a San Diego Engagement Photographer have been extra popular for me this year! Keep reading on, about this gorgeous San Diego Engagement Photographer Session in La Jolla and get ready to “ooh and aah” over every single portrait taken in this incredible natural Outdoor San Diego Photography backdrop with this perfect couple!..
It has been a beautiful year here in San Diego! And even though the clouds and rain seem like a daily occurrence, it’s actually a San Diego Engagement Photographer’s dream! Flowers are still blooming everywhere (it’s currently late June) and this San Diego Engagement Photographer is doing her best to take advantage of it AND be responsible (LNT).
With such a colorful family background, this couple decided they wanted to have some beautiful engagement pictures near their home in San Diego that took advantage of the flowers this year and was also colorful enough to match their cultures.
The Love emanating from this couple was truly infectious. I mean, can’t you tell just by looking? You know how when you know a couple is just made for each other? Well, there’s no doubt these two are. They are from the East Coast and haven’t been in San Diego too long so I strived to give them an East Coast meets West Coast Styled Session…lots of dark and moody’s mixed with some brighter shots along with plenty of formals and lifestyle photos! I’m pretty sure I’ll be printing these on a canvas for my Studio very soon!
As La Jolla is one of my favorite places around San Diego to hang out and explore, we narrowed it down to 2 locations that were close to each other, where we could get some beautiful oranges, reds, yellows, and greens! And then so we wouldn’t have to go far to get to the beach and get some Sunset shots in the sand!
I still can’t get over how amazing these flowers look! I tend to desaturate my backgrounds a bit so that they don’t distract too much from the Couples in the photos, so in other words, I can’t even describe how vibrant they were before post-editing! I scoured the San Diego Coast until I could find some easy areas to get the most options for our San Diego Engagement Photographer Session and we got so lucky on this day!
While we were playing around on the beach, we captured plenty of formal, fun, candid, and everything in-between portraits! Can you believe they are not models!? Before we began, they were actually a bit nervous about posing! We went over wardrobe and styling up until the San Diego Engagement Photographer Session and even on this outdoor location and they were so comfortable and just went for it! I wish the bowtie was my idea but I can’t take credit for it!
Check out the first location and the amazing flowers!
For the second location, we travelled a couple minutes by car to the La Jolla Beach and Scripps Pier! As you can start to see the wind picked up quite a bit and we got some really awesome movement shots on top of the “perfect” ones!
The photo above is one of my faves from the whole day!
The last photo, above, on the right, i just love. I think this pose is becoming my trademark pose. It’s just perfect in so many ways. It tells a story and you don’t even need to see their faces to understand it!
I still can’t believe these two aren’t professional models!
I love beach and blue hour photography almost as much as the couple!
