One of my favorite places for a Coronado Photographer portrait session is a beautiful little spot not too far from the Studio in East Village in Downtown San Diego. Not only is it an incredible location any time of the day, but the sunsets are some of the best in Southern California. It sets a little early here. Half of the year the sun falls behind Point Loma and it’s absolutely a wonderful place for bright and colorful clouds.
As mentioned above, one of my favorite times of the year at this location is during the late Fall or Winter when the sun sets early behind the hill known as Point Loma. It diffuses the sun perfectly without getting too dark. However, with me as your Coronado Photographer, any kind of light at this location will make for beautiful images.
This particular Portrait Session by your newly favorite Coronado Photographer :) took place about an hour before the sun disappeared and as you see the tide left a perfect floor for a pastel reflection. Now, to get back to this wonderful woman…
Her name is Tammy and she is amazing on the inside and out. She is an incomparable mother and wife with an amazing heritage! We began with a few posed shots and then I let her have all the fun and slowly but surely dip her ankles in the surf.
Besides the wide-open and vast beach that stretches from the naval base to the Hotel Del Coronado, there are plenty of great coffee shop, restaurants, and bars to hang out at before or after your Portrait Session. One of my client’s favorite things to do, is go for a dinner with a date after the Session! With hair and makeup and all the good vibes that you are feeling, who would not want to do that?
I have a few tricks up my sleeve to get these beautiful, soft, and evenly lit images for your next Coronado Photographer beach session and I cannot wait to photograph you here soon!
