Sunset Cliffs Wedding

[updated] 2024

An ever-growing popular destination for wedding and Elopement ceremonies and where this Sunset Cliffs Wedding took place was located on a tiny but special part of Ocean Beach / Point Loma. 7 days a week, weddings take place over-looking an incredible stretch of coastline that rivals the South of France.

A Sunset Cliffs Wedding is pure perfection any time of the day or year. In fact, this part of San Diego has it’s own little micro climate and while the rest of town might be too warm or a little rainy, most days along the cliffs are absolute perfection.

For those of you considering an elopement here, the wedding permit process is quite easy. You may read and apply for one at this link here. Luscomb’s Point is ideal for larger wedding parties. This location allows up to 50 people. A second location is at Osprey Point which also holds up to 50 people is a bit smaller for a Sunset Cliffs Wedding and personally, I recommend for wedding parties of 30 or less.

There are on-going restoration projects that happen year-round at both Linear Park sites and the Natural Park at the end of Sunset Cliffs Boulevard. Luckily, I am located within walking distance and I’m able to keep up with progress and which sites may be best for your important Sunset Cliffs Wedding.

This lovely couple was able to have their ceremony at Luscomb’s Point, and from there we were able to take advantage of the other beautiful vistas for additional images just after the ceremony took place. A very iconic spot for engagements, proposals, and beautiful wedding day photos is located on top of an arch that leans out from Osprey Point. I have been watching this location for many years and we are quite lucky to have this view! At the current rate of coastal erosion, we can expect that within 30 years, it will only live on in our images and stories that we tell our children and grand-children.

Let’s see what you think about this beautiful couple and their incredible Micro wedding they shared with friends and family along Luscomb’s Point. If you are planning a Sunset Cliffs Wedding, I would love to share in this experience with you and document your special day in a way that will decorate your home with beautiful stories.
