A Courthouse Wedding Photographer by the name of Heather Broomhall Photography lensed this beautiful courthouse wedding on a typical sunshine-y afternoon here in San Diego, CA. In case you didn't know, the location is actually along the bay front in Downtown SD at the County Clerk’s Building. One of the first things I do, is to remind my couple’s that if you go to the actual Courthouse Downtown, you’ll be in the wrong location!
One of the best things about being a Courthouse Wedding Photographer is all of the excitement that comes along with a quick ceremony. At this location, you check=in at the new, Covid appointed, “Marriage Hut”. Yes, that is literally the name on the building. No longer, do you have to go inside to wait for paperwork and an officiant, you will walk right up to the Marriage Hut, sign the papers, and shortly thereafter, you will walk along the path over to the beautiful arch where you will be married!
The best part is that while we are waiting outside, we are able to grab some portraits with your guests and of the beautifully maintained grounds. In fact, there is an exceptionally beautiful row of outdoor fountains that make for a lovely backdrop for your special day.
If the grounds itself weren’t great enough.. you may cross the street to the Harbor Walk and grab some portraits with the beautiful water of the Harbor right behind you. If it fits your style, you can even celebrate with a Harbor Brunch serving plenty of champaign or a Sailboat Tour of the Bay. Another perk of commissioning a Courthouse Wedding Photographer is that if you do not have any guests, I am able to sign as your witness. That is much better than a $40 fee to the County and I am truly honored to be a part of your journey by signing for you.
